SALES OF LOOMS

In our mission to be a reliable business in the supply of traditional weaving thread, we identified a critical opportunity to support the weaving industry further. The increasing demand for looms presented a challenge for local weavers, as many had to purchase them from outside the region, incurring high transportation costs that made them unaffordable for many. To address this issue, we conducted a feasibility study with a sample of weavers, confirming the viability of locally supplying looms. This initiative allowed us to expand our services and meet the needs of the community effectively.
Over the past three years, we have successfully supplied 302 looms to weavers across the region, significantly reducing costs and making essential tools more accessible. This expansion has reinforced our reputation as a trusted and dependable partner, while also contributing to the growth and sustainability of the local weaving community. By addressing this critical need, we continue to empower artisans and support the development of the traditional weaving industry.
SALES OF TRADITIONAL WOVEN FABRICS
Of course one would know that, this was a potential business. We sold all the inputs involved in the production of the traditional woven fabric. In 2016, the demand for the traditional woven fabric hit its apex in demand. Weavers could not meet the increasing demand and it was very lucrative. We took up the opportunity to venture into the production market, and that has been one of the largest source of revenue to the business.

SMOCK DESIGN AND SALES
Every son of the North knows how prestigious smocks are in our cultural realm. The increase in demand of the traditional woven fabrics, had a direct effect in the demand for smocks. Of course, as business people, all we look for is opportunities. We dived into smock designing too, not just because it was on high demand, but to contribute our quota to the promotion of our culture and tradition. So far, we have produced and sold five-thousand pieces of smock to both local and the international market.

TOURISM
We are inclined to the tourism sector already. And visiting tourist sites have always been so exciting. In 2018, we developed a business model that was aimed at helping tourists in the Upper West Region to visit various tourist sites in the Region. Some of the tourist sites visited include, the Royal Cosy Hill Hotel Safari in Jirapa, the Mushroom rock at Baabile, the Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary and the Sankana Ancient Caves.

SUPPLY OF CEREALS/SHEA BUTTER AND GENERAL GOODS AND SERVICES
After some time in business, friends in the national capital, Accra, wanted to contract us to supply cereals and sheabutter. Of course, sheabutter has a great market in the export market. They wanted to export it. For the cereals, it was sold locally. Initially, we did not want to take it up, but on a second thought, we did. The first payment took nearly six months, and we got discouraged to continue, but the payment came with glittering packages, to supply tens of thousands more on prepaid terms. That was the beginning of the journey. Today, aside cereals and sheabutter, we also supply any other goods that is demanded on a business day.
